I will not lie, I may have a slight obsession. Pinwheel recipes. I made BBQ chicken pinwheels and as I was assembling it, the flood gates opened. “Queso and chicken!” I yelled to my hubby in excitement. “Oh, oh, oh! The Chicken could be mixed with taco seasoning. And what about a buffalo chicken one! And a cheeseburger one!” I was rattling them off so fast, my hubby had to tell me to breathe, haha! Okay, I was excited…and still am. The possibilities are endless and so customizable (best part!).
Now, let’s gather your ingredients. And always remember, use what you already have in your house and what your family enjoys. If you have pizza crust instead of crescent rolls? Pizza crust pinwheel recipes are just as yum! Have leftover rotisserie chicken? Perfect! Not feeling chicken and want a different protein? It all works. Be creative. Maybe let the kids help too. Kids love feeling that they helped Mama (or Daddy) in the kitchen 🙂
Then roll your crescent roll out and spread a thin layer of BBQ sauce (I prefer Sweet Baby Ray’s Original, but use whatever you love).
Next you will add your toppings. For this recipe I have shredded chicken and cheese. Some people also like red onion added onto this recipe, or crumbled bacon (similar to a BBQ chicken pizza recipe).

The Stuff You Need
- 1 crescent roll
- 3/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 can (14 oz) shredded chicken
- 1 cup shredded cheese
What You Gotta Do
Preheat oven to 425°F. Roll out the crescent roll into a rectangle. Spread on the BBQ sauce. Top with chicken and cheese. Roll it up longways, and cut into slices. Bake face-up for 15 minutes.
